Coach Whitty takes a deliberate approach to coaching and educating athletes that results in a transformational experience for the player, and consistently demonstrates a rare combination of expert knowledge of the game of lacrosse and high emotional intelligence. As a former player under Coach Whitty, he paid close attention to detail on fundamentals and technique, which improved my skill set as a defender and elevated my confidence each time I walked out onto the field. Separate from his high IQ of the game, Coach Whitty is an elite motivator, and brought out the best in my abilities through his tailored mentorship and burning desire to win. I’m forever grateful that I had the opportunity to play for Coach Whitty, as he not only improved my capabilities on the field, but was also instrumental in my character development off the field.

Coach Whitty taught me how to be the best version of myself on and off the field. His ability to get the best out of his players by challenging us to leave practice better than we came has stayed with me through life and sports. One thing that stuck with me is taking matchups personal. If the opposing team believes thry could dodge our defenders he wanted us to take it personal and put forth our best.

Coach Trey has been instrumental in helping my son Kellan learn and understand the fundamentals of lacrosse while pushing and inspiring him to be the best that he can be on and off the field. Coach Trey is developing not only young athletes, but young men to send off into the world to achieve success in everything they do. Our family was truly blessed to have had Coach Trey's influence and guidance at the start of Kellan's lacrosse journey these last two years. Thank you, Coach Trey!

Coach Whitty knows lacrosse better than anyone, and importantly knows how to develop players over time. Over the past three years, our boys have thrived under his leadership as they have been coached by him directly and participated in a larger program that he ran. He knows how to make lacrosse exciting for young players while steadily building strong fundamentals. As they've grown, he's ramped up the challenge, helping them develop not just as athletes, but as teammates and leaders as well. We cannot recommend Coach Whitty more highly.

As a former Division 1 athlete, one of the hardest parts of being a parent has been entrusting someone else with my son's athletic development. Coach Trey, both a coach and a father, brings a thoughtful, long-term approach to developing young athletes. He understands the importance of nurturing the mind, body, and spirit in an age-appropriate way. His guidance has not only helped my son grow on and off the field, but it's also allowed me to fully embrace my role as a supportive parent - cheering from the sidelines with the healthy pride, love and encouragement he deserves.
